Position Profile
Position: Sales
Representative
1.
Sales & Marketing
a.
As with all of us at Weekes/North Star, selling and achieving our goals
for gross profit is our top priority.
b.
You will promote and sell our entire product line, but your primary focus
will be to grow our sales of engineered wood and other specialty lines to all
our customers.
c.
You will also be responsible to prospect new accounts, especially
“Industrial” accounts.
d.
You will be assigned total account responsibility for many accounts.
e.
Regular weekly travel will be your primary focus to grow all of our
relationships, promote & sell specialty items, do EWP estimates, etc.
f.
You will also do phone sales from the office and share in handling
inbound calls.
g.
Participate in Trade and dealer shows as needed.
h.
Conduct training for customers to help them grow their purchases of our
products.
i.
Assist in settling claims.
j.
Call on targeted contractors to promote and “pull through” our specialty
products.
2.
Product Management
a. Responsible
for buying and managing margins, turns, etc. of may specialty product lines.
b. Research and
recommend product line additions and deletions.
3. General
a. Assist in
logistics management and offer suggestions for improvement.
b. Make joint
calls with sales team members on key accounts.
c. Participate
in semi-annual physical inventory.
d. Assist with
price list maintenance.
